WILD WALKS

Instinctual Discovery and Confidence Building for  Dogs

Adventure Awaits

Wild Walks are adventures for our dogs that last about 45 minutes and can contain up to 10 other students.

We will meet at a local park, forested area, or up the mountain, one day a month (weather permitting) to work on a multitude of skills that not only encourage your pup to sniff and explore, but to respond to their owners while they STAY WILD.

Benefits

We will meet at a local park, forested area, or up the mountain, one day a month (weather permitting) to work on a multitude of skills that not only encourage your pup to sniff and explore, but to respond to their owners while they STAY WILD. Dog training in it's natural state!

These are great classes for dogs who have redirection skills and need some work with reaction to distractions.

Games will be played that involve utilizing your dog’s natural instincts and necessary skills to eventually become OFF LEASH dogs.

Please note that during the walks though, unless we are in a confined area, all dogs will remain on their leads. If you want to focus on off-leash skills, then a long line is necessary.

These events are not for over-reactive pups.

What do you need to bring?

1 / Everyone remains on Leash

We recommend 6-10 foot solid lines for this exercise. Please do not bring any bungee, retractable, slip or flexileads. There will be no dog to dog interactions.

2 / Reinforcers

For some dogs this is treats, for others its a toy or a rope. Please avoid bringing squeakers. Any item based reinforcer should be something you can keep with in reach and not toss which may be overly distracting to others.

3 / Harness or Collar

We prefer harnesses for this adventure, but a collar will be fine. Prongs/chain/slip/choke collars are not permitted.

4 / Poop Bags

Everyone is responsible for their own pups poo. We are here to enjoy nature, not step in it!
